Apologetics is defined as, “..reasoned arguments or writings
in
justification of something, typically a theory or religious
doctrine..” Peter admonishes Christians to be ready
with an
answer, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be
ready
always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the
hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Peter 3:15).
The purpose of apologetics is to convict the heart of those whom God
has called and to strengthen the faith of the inquiring child of God.
The goal is not to “win a debate”. (God has already
won.)
The Christian apologist should desire to be fully equipped with
God’s Word. He or she should be versed in the questions and
arguments that the inquirer will ask (or attack with).

chance to demonstrate their readiness by giving a 20 page written

or on the study topic. Paper shall contain a cover sheet, be
typewritten, double spaced.
